⭐️ Overview.
Zappyrent aims to make renting easy, safe, and quick for landlords and tenants. The platform's booking experience is quite good but still needs some improvements.
After spending some time observing the experience and going through the app, it's clear that the tenant app has several issues.
Here are the main areas where it could be better:
→ Navigation and Usability
- The profile section is split into two parts without clear titles, leading to user confusion. Direct interaction is possible in one part, while the other requires an 'edit' button to modify content, creating inconsistency.
- Mode Switching Confusion: The feature allowing users to switch between tenant and landlord modes could be confusing, especially if it's mainly intended for back-office use, because how can a user be both? Landlord & Tenant.
besides this, it’s gray all the time, and that’s a problem.
- Menu Organization: The current menu layout is disorganized, complicating navigation and detracting from the overall user experience.
- Help Section Overload: The help section's extensive size may overwhelm users, suggesting a need for simplification, while keeping it visible
→ Bookings page flow and experience
The booking page's goal is to help Landlords Accept/Deny requests by Tenants, and it’s not doing good at that for now!
— I will dive deeper into this in the Current State section.
